Chief Warrant Officer James Reid was raised in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelors of Science Professional Aeronautics with a minor in Aviation Safety.

Chief Warrant Officer Reid originally enlisted in the Air Force from 1979 – 1984, but joined the Army and retired in 2002 after 20 years serving as an Army Black Hawk Helicopter Pilot. He flew 83 lifesaving missions while stationed overseas and missions during Desert Storm in support of the 1st Infantry Division (Mech). After his service to our country, he joined the Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. Training Support Services at Bridgeport performing training needs analysis, design and development. He currently holds a Commercial Helicopter-Instrument Certificate.

Currently, James is the Executive Director of The Veterans Transition House managing a staff of 23 and 71 clients at five locations. He lives in the community he serves with his wife and two children.

Jason joined the Veterans Transition House in June 2014 to take the Financial Office reins from Martin Lahue.  A graduate of Bridgewater State College, Jason has worked in nonprofit financial, operations and human resources management for 15 years. Prior to joining VTH, Jason lived in Maine, most recently working as Finance Manager for the Owls Head Transportation Museum.  A Massachusetts native, however, he is enjoying living, working and playing (literally, as he is a former professional musician and music educator) in the New Bedford area.

The newest member of the VTH management team, Leah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience. Most recently, she served as the Psychological Health Coordinator for the Rhode Island National Guard. Leah has a wealth of experience serving children, adults and the elderly in addition to active service members and veterans. She has worked in community, group housing and emergency room settings.
